Black Power Poetry will be live so come see the real creative genius of the African working class. We're hosting this Open Mic in the “House That Black Built”.

and will directly contribute to building Black Power.

at Akwaaba Hall 4101 W Florissant Ave. This presentation is a part of the Black Power Blueprint the project that's fighting gentrification and revitalizing the African community. We finished phase one building an economic/political hub in the Uhuru House. We have almost completed work on the One Africa! One Nation! Marketplace across the street and beginning the process of renovations to the building on Goodfellow Blvd to bring to life the Uhuru Jiko Community Commercial Kitchen!
All of this means
our own independent capacity for genuine economic development and self reliance.
