Expedition Subsahara is turning ONE!

Mark your calendars! All are invited to celebrate with an authentic African market right here in St. Louis.

Saturday, September 22, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Bowood Farms.

Address: 4604 Washington Street, Saint Louis 63108

This year, instead of doing an online fundraiser for the STEAM school in Senegal, we have decided to re-create a traditional African market. What a better way to connect cultures then to taste, smell, feel and be surrounded by it? Guests will have the opportunity to get a glimpse of what an open-air market is like in Senegal, complete with a traditional beverages and snacks, fashion, and music — staples in any Senegalese market.

Whisk: a Sustainable Bakeshop, will be there with ice pops in traditional African flavors.

We also will be hosting an up-and-coming Senegalese designer, Fatou Ndeye and bringing you her African inspired fashions from her business in Senegal, Fatou’s Closet.

This will be our biggest market of the year as we celebrate our one-year anniversary. Come shop the goods, from clutches/wallets to baskets, tablewear and jewelry that will make you and your conscience smile. Supporting artisans and making a difference in the lives of people around the world has never been this fun!

Invite your friends and visit a bustling, vibrant, beautiful sub-Saharan market while also helping build a STEAM school for girls in Senegal, Africa. Learn more about our mission at https://expeditionsubsahara.com.
