Lunch and Learn Professional Development with Dr. Gloria Ladson-Billings

Dr. Gloria Ladson-Billings is the ranked #3 among the nation’s most influential education scholar and she will meet with local educators for a Lunch and Learn professional development on culturally relevant pedagogy at Washington University in St. Louis on April 4, 2018 from 11:30am to 3:30pm in Siegle 148.

The purpose of this Lunch and Learn is to (1) provide an introduction to culturally relevant pedagogy for P-12 educational leaders, (2) identify barriers and share successes of addressing academic issues related to race and culture in schools, and (3) have a question and answer session with the preeminent scholar on culturally relevant pedagogy, Dr. Gloria Ladson-Billings.

“This is the perfect opportunity to help liberate the genius in all of our students. This Lunch and Learn is the beginning of helping educators be laser focused on using culture as a bridge for academic excellence,” said Dr. April Warren-Grice, Founder and CEO of Liberated Genius.

The attendees will be exposed to concepts, strategies, and information on how to better work with student cultures, families, and communities.
