Saturday October 20th, join us as we celebrate 6 years of SUPERNATURAL! Yes, we've been giving long over-due props to the many dope styles of black natural hair through an unapologetically black natural hair-loving tribute since 2012 and we don't plan on stopping anytime soon. Shout to all who've experienced the vibe at any one of our previous events, and if you're new to the party, peep the steelo...

SUPERNATURAL is a party celebrating the beauty, flyness and all-around badass style of black natural hair. It's an event not only to show off fly natural 'dos, but it also serves as a welcoming party to any recently natural individuals who may feel alone in their natural-hair journey. A common thread in a number of black women's stories starting from the "big chop" (cutting off permed hair to grow their hair naturally) to where they are currently is the negativity they tend to encounter from family, friends, and even strangers in some cases. Few realize how alone and uncertain the process of going (back) natural can be for those who don't already have a circle of encouraging loved ones to lift them up - particularly women. For many, it may seem there isn't an accessible community they can lean on for support and be inspired. But there is and we figure why not have a party to welcome them into that community? Anytime one has the courage to embrace their natural hair in today's society, it's cause for celebration as far as we're concerned, so SUPERNATURAL is here

Setting the mood with Afrobeat, Afro-House, Latin, Dancehall, Hip-Hop, Trap, Bounce, Afro-Pop and more will be Supernatural creator James Biko (fka DJ Needles), resident Blvck Spvde, plus Makeda Kravitz, Hood Bunnny and host Tee Parks making their Supernatural debuts
